The company Düsseldorf Airport Cargo was founded under the name Flughafen Düsseldorf Cargo GmbH in 2001 in the course of the privatization of Düsseldorf’s airport. Until June 2013 the company was known as “DUS Cargo Logistics”. Since the foundation it is a 100-per cent subsidiary of the Düsseldorf Airport group. Düsseldorf Airport is the third biggest airport in Germany with more than 21 million passengers in 2013.

About 175 employees of Düsseldorf Airport Cargo safeguard smooth and fast handling of imports and exports at Düsseldorf Airport. The documentation is as much a main constituent of our job as the physical handling.

Düsseldorf Airport Cargo guarantees outstanding quality combined with short handling times thanks to a top-grade location with direct access to the apron and state-of-the-art equipment.

It has the status of a “regulated agent” according to the strict requirements of the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA / German Federal Aviation Administration) and meet the German and international requirements of the LBA and of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), thus, providing handling on the highest level of safety.

In order to contribute to the standardized handling of temperature-sensitive goods Düsseldorf Airport Cargo has become an active member of the “Cool Chain Association (CCA)“ since 2008.
